As a personal trainer and group fitness instructor who is obsessed with fitness and nutrition, I have always been curious about the gluten-free phenomenon. Initially, I thought it was just another fad diet which (like all other fad diets) would rapidly lose credibility. But, after watching my mother drop 15 pounds last year (AND KEEP IT OFF!) on a gluten free regimen, I now have a new found curiosity about this eating style.
Unbeknownst to me, there is a plethora of literature out there concerning the gluten-free lifestyle. After many hours scanning my local grocery store and reading up on every gluten-free book in Barnes & Noble, I am ready to start my 30 day gluten-free challenge.
While it will take some discipline and planning ahead, the results I have seen in others who have followed through on the gluten-free plan are amazing. And, by setting a personal example, I hope to inspire others to give the gluten free eating style a try! I will update my progress in the coming days.
